Bespoke Technology Solutions and Probe Microphone Measurement Verification
Bespoke hearing technology solutions
Midland Hearing Care offer a range of hearing aid styles to suit every patient’s communication needs and lifestyle. Hearing aid verification procedures known as PMM - probe microphone measurements or REM’s real-ear measurements are performed for all hearing aid fittings. This procedure is considered to be a best-practice, evidence-based protocol for hearing aid fittings. It is used for hearing aid verification and to determine an ear-specific hearing aid prescription that offers bespoke, safe, comfortable and audible hearing levels. A bespoke hearing aid algorithm is determined for each patient and hearing aids are not programmed using manufacturers or proprietors settings.
For patients who are suitable candidates for hearing aids, a 30-day trial period is provided to determine which style of technology may offer the best solution in the patients home, work and social communication environments.
Midland Hearing Care is registered with the Department of Social Protection to dispense hearing aids. The Clinic can provide suitable patients with a Medical Appliance Eligibility form to complete and submit to the Department to avail of a hearing aid grant. If eligible for this grant, patients may be entitled to a €500 grant for the purchase of one hearing aid or €1000 grant for the purchase of two hearing aids.
